How an engagement runs.

One consultant, one file, a defined sequence from the first call to the instrument reaching your counterparty's bank.

The five stages

Each stage has a clear output, so you always know where the file stands.

Two people shaking hands across a desk after a meeting
  1. Initial consultation

We discuss the transaction, the counterparty's requirements and your timing, and recommend the instrument and structure.

Output: a written proposal describing the instrument, the issuing route and the documents needed.

  2. Due diligence

We collect company and transaction documents and complete the compliance review every partner bank requires.

    Output: a complete application file.

  3. Structuring and drafting

We draft the instrument wording, agree it with you and, where appropriate, with the beneficiary.

Output: final wording approved by all parties.

  4. Bank issuance

The partner bank reviews the file, approves, and issues the instrument by authenticated SWIFT message.

Output: issued instrument received by the beneficiary's bank.

  5. Follow-through

We confirm receipt, handle amendments and extensions, and coordinate monetization or settlement where relevant.

Output: instrument managed through to release or maturity.

What we will ask for

Documents vary by instrument and bank, but most files begin with the following.

  • Company registration and licence documents
  • Identification for directors and beneficial owners
  • The underlying contract, pro-forma invoice or tender documents
  • Details of the beneficiary and its bank
  • Recent financial statements or bank references, where required

How we work

One point of contact

A single consultant owns your file and is reachable throughout the engagement.

Transparent terms

Fees and bank costs are explained before you commit, with no undisclosed charges.

Confidentiality

Transaction details are shared only with the banks and parties needed to issue the instrument.

Realistic timelines

We tell you what the issuing bank's process requires rather than promising dates we cannot control.

Discuss your transaction with a consultant.

Tell us about the deal, the counterparty and the timeline. We will come back with the instrument and structure we recommend.
